Times have changed

My friends John and Goran are taking their son Glen to Scandinavia for his high school graduation. When I graduated (38 years ago) I got a used stereo that I had to put a quarter on the arm to keep it from skipping. I thought it was the greatest gift ever and had if for many years. It kind of looked like this one. I think the first album I played on it was Roberta Flack's Killing Me Softly or Seals and Crofts Summer Breeze. My friend Peter who will be turning 40 next month has no idea who Seals and Crofts is. I'm not sure if he knows Roberta Flack but I'll bet he never had a record player with a quarter on the arm to keep it from skipping. Maybe I'll put a quarter on my iPod just for old times sake.
