Do I really need to make any comment????I was going through my Christmas stuff and I forgot about this. I love Rudolph. My friends Peter, Sue and Sue and I are getting together on Sunday to watch the movie and play reindeer games.
The question every year is the same ... why is the doll on the island of misfit toys? We are never told. I believe she has syphilis but I'm open to other reasons.
When I was a kid I watched the special every year and every year I was scared of the Abominable even when I knew what would happen. It's like those damn monkeys in the Wizard of Oz -- I still hate those monkeys.

Oooh, the abominable! Of all the storied boogeyman creatures from childhood, the Abominable Snowman was the ONLY one that truly scared me. I never knew why, but maybe it was because of the Rudolph film! My only nightmare memory from childhood was the Abominable disguised as a teen killed in an auto accident. To this day I can still see that teenminable coming after me in Frankenstein-type movements. Thanks, but now I need to blot that memory out!
